Will the base colour match the bedstead?
All painted beds are supplied with a base of matching colour. Engineering constraints dictate that all our Brass and Nickel and Chrome beds are supplied with a black base as standard.

I already have a Divan, can I buy a full bedstead to use with it?
Yes, you can order a complete bedstead with a Surround Base. This allows the divan to sit in the middle of it(see frames). 95% of models allow the Surround rails to be set at a height of 17" allowing a 15" clearance height for divan drawers.

I want a slatted bedstead but don’t want a footboard, is this possible?
Yes, you can buy any bedstead with a Universal Base; this does not require the footboard (See Frames).

What size mattresses are compatible with the bedsteads?
All bedsteads are designed to accommodate standard UK mattress sizes. Small Single: 2' ft 6" x 6' ft 3" or 76cm x 190cm approx Single: 3' ft x 6' ft 3" or 90cm x 190cm approx Small Double: 4' ft x 6' ft 3" or 120cm x 190cm approx Double: 4' ft 6" x 6' ft 3" or 135cm x 190cm approx King Size: 5' ft x 6' ft 6" or 150cm x 200cm approx Super King: 6' ft x 6' ft 6" or 180cm x 200cm approx

What type of mattress is suitable?
We have spaced the slats to allow for either an open coil, pocket sprung or memory foam mattress to be used.

Does your bedsteads have Solid Castings?
Yes, all our bedsteads have solid hand poured castings to provide added strength and a beautifully detailed finish.

Is the brass "Genuine Brass"?
Yes, we use 100% genuine cast brass. We also incorporate a unique antiquing process to ensure the look of a true original.

What type of paint is used?
We use only the finest powder coat paints. These are smooth and extremely durable. For models with Gold highlights and Patinas the finishing touches are applied by hand to accentuate the look.
